This time, it ended in pizza. A pity!

Students were barred yesterday, 10/08/2009, when trying to enter the Senate and deliver 12 pizzas to the President of the Ethics Committee , Senator Paul Duke (who filed 11 representations against Sarney, arbitrarily and without investigation). This was the only time I was hoping for something to finish on pizza in Congress! But it did not, thanks to police brutality and the Legislative soft body of our parliamentarians, who closed the Congress, who are frightened with the Brazilian people, now dubbed the swine flu (because this is a ridiculous excuse them).

They are part of the nonpartisan group UP - Collective of Independent Demonstration and Activism - which I belong (former CUMA). Check out the video:

Below, the manifesto of UP, already widely reported in the media, to the Senators and the Brazilian Society as a whole:

We, civil society organized by the Collective of Independent Demonstration and Activism - UP, we understand our role in social control and strengthening of democracy and we have come, therefore, express outrage against the latest developments of the Senate and the Board of Ethics.

At the moment we went through with so many scandalous events that are confused with Brazilian politics and cast some doubt on the credibility of the Senate, we understand that the Board of Ethics can not be inert against the excesses of all senators, much less can act utilitarianism and staff, as some authorities have repeatedly defending the president of the House Jose Sarney.

The Brazilian Senate is much larger than the individual Sarney and may not be auctioned to ensure the election of any political pretensions. Significant questions loom about the ethical and moral conduct of the president's house, whose duty to collaborate with the clarification of the complaints offered against him. To this end, Jose Sarney should step down in order to better conduct of investigations.

Put a check on the upper chamber of the national congress is to provide a real disservice to democracy. A citizen can not, in a democratic context, consider himself superior to his peers, by distinction of any kind. Therefore, we, ordinary people, imbued with the spirit of democracy and the free exercise of citizenship and popular sovereignty, claim the investigation of all cases sent to the Ethics Committee. More, because it is not a specific problem, call for political reform carried out by means of plebiscites and popular debate in which proposals for party loyalty, public financing of election campaigns and the extinction of all kinds of nepotism.

Tomorrow is a more marked concentration to keep fighting for the fall of Sarney. It will be at 14 o'clock, in front of the Palace of Justice. Go black if possible and, if so, take a Constitution. Also tomorrow at 10 am, there will be a public ethics in the Senate seat in the auditorium of the OAB, Qd.5 SAS, with the participation of Senator Cristovam Buarque. Attend! Spread!

Recalling also that the other colonels and cretins who are in power have not been forgotten. Sarney is at the mouth of the people now, but they will get their turn. We need a radical and extensive Out Sarney! Changes, my Brazil!

Thanks for representing the youth as well. Very good to know that the # forasarney is not a revolution with the butt on the couch. You made me believe in the strength of the voice of one or ten people together against a political monopoly. It's possible. I cried watching you sing the National Anthem. The "strong people who can not escape the fight" has been shown there. With all its vigor and with all the power of who has the right and the constitution in hand. Congratulations and thank you for inspiring me and make me get out of this inertia that bother me so much. ABMT TOGETHER
